If you are ever at a Madison area rave, stop and say hello. I'm ravin for the music and the dance (aka exercise)! I know - some of you say the rave is all about the PANTS! Ha! You can easily find me ... just look for THE SHOES! I wear my Art Shoes to every rave I go to! Someone asked me to post pictures of them so they know what to look for ... so here they are - complete with editorial...

Art Shoes! That is the name of the company, but I can't find them on the web! I'd like to write to them but I got one of the last pair of Art Shoes at the store in Berkeley and don't have their address or anything! Help!

Yes - these are not your ordinary shoes! The front of the shoe is actually four parts! First is a thickly padded "tongue" that comes up to cover the top of your foot. Next are the black laces that are what you normally expect in a shoe. But after you tie your shoe, there is a SECOND leather "tongue" that lays on top of your laces - it keeps them from ever coming untied (jeez I hate having to keep tieing my shoes - no more with Art Shoes). Finally once you are laced up and covered up - pull across the HUGE THICK velcro backed display panel. It adds even more snugness to the shoe! The photo above shoes the shoe with this last Velcro panel pulled OPEN so you can see the 2nd leather "tongue" as well as bit of the black shoe laces peeking out at the top left.

Yes - steel toes! Well, actually thick fiberglass. Is this what is meant by DanceSafe?

Two Inch soles to boot! This came in handy at Millennial Dawn New Years Eve rave in Milwaukee where the bathrooms were flooded with an inch of water!

OK - you have your Air Jordans. These shoes have a double air system! Not a bad combination with the steel toes, eh?

Reflector Strips on the back above the ankle as well as on the top of the front. Unfortunately my black pants are usually covering this safety feature up! Maybe it should have been a blinking light in the back of the sole instead!

Yes on the side of each shoe as part of the large Velcro flap is a cool hologram. Puts the Microsoft hologram to shame!

Oh ... by the way ... can someone help me find the song Step On by Spacemaster from a few years back? CD preferred! It is one of my all time favorite songs and would go so nice with my Art Shoes now!
